Grow Your Own Lemons – All You Need Is One Seed!

Lemons have to be one of Mother Nature’s most refreshing and versatile fruits, don’t you think? Few things can be more enjoyable on a hot summer day than sitting outside with an ice-cold glass of fresh lemonade or ice tea (ok, I admit it – there might be an occasional gin and tonic as well).

They’re also extremely good for us, and come with many health benefits attached, including improved cardiovascular health and the prevention of kidney stones.

The other good news is that lemons are also extremely easy to grow, so there’s no need to miss out on them.

Head over the next page to see how easy it is to grow your own lemon tree…

Bridegroom Loses 112 lbs And Gains Confidence To Walk Down The Aisle

It’s generally accepted that a wedding is a bride’s special day. We see this time and time again in TV reality shows and magazines – everything is about the bride: her dress, her bridesmaids and her tantrums.

Of course, there are two partners in any marriage, and the male partner can have just an many fears as hangups as his bride.

The was certainly true of Andy Clay, who was well overweight and deeply ashamed of being stared at as he took his bride down the aisle on their wedding day. So, he decided to do something about it.

We’re Now In The Anti-Dieting Age (Or Are We Really?)

Over the last decade or so, it seems that a new mindset has gradually infiltrated into our collective consciousness.

The concepts of dieting and weight loss that were once seen as being all important and on everyone’s lips have now apparently gone out of favor, to be replaced with a new set of phrases such as “Stronger”, “Healthy” and “Eat Clean”.

We should all learn to accept our bodies as they are and stop obsessing about weight –  at least, that’s what the experts were saying. But in reality has anything really changed, or are we just kidding ourselves?

Head on over the next page for one of the most interesting articles I’ve ever read…

Hilarious Dieting Memes, Quotes And Videos We Can All Relate To

Sometimes it seems that trying to lose weight is such a deadly serious business doesn’t it?

We’re so focused on watching what we eat, ticking off the boxes on our diet plan sheets, and of course, sneakily checking those scales that we somehow seem to lose all other perspective on life – as well as our sense of humor.

So that’s why I thought, I’d try to spread round a few smiles and pass on a selection of funny dieting and weight loss content that I’ve found on the web over the years.

Here’s Why You Need To Add More Almonds To Your Diet

I’ve always loved nuts of all sorts. They’re just such an easy and tasty food, and to make it even better, they’re good for you (in limited quantities of course)!

In particular, I’ve always relished almonds. The taste and crunch of toasted almonds has always had a huge appeal. So when I read that we should all be trying to include more of them in our regular food intake, I couldn’t help but give a mental high-five.

Why are almonds so good? head over the next page and find out…

“If I Was Fat No-One Could See I Was Really Evil” – What A Dreadfully Sad Tale

I have to admit that I thought long and hard about posting up this article, because it’s just such a downright sad and bleak tale.

However, the truth is that sometimes it’s best to share stories such as that of Pauline Sharp, so that they can serve as a lesson to all of us.

Like many other woman, Pauline had been sexually abused as a child, and used excess and binge eating as a coping mechanism. using her 200 pound weight as a mask and barrier to protect her from the outside world…

President Trump Has Been Told To Lose Weight – Here’s How…

Even those of us who occupy exalted positions of power are not excluded from the problems of obesity apparently.

It seems that President Trump has been instructed by his physicians that he really needs to lose some of his excess pounds, and quite urgently.

His love of burgers and other fast foods over the years have made his body into something less than a temple, and so now he’s got to start doing something quite serious about it…

Silicon Valley’s Favorite Diet Has Benefits Beyond Weight Loss

The favorite diet of the high-tech folks at Silicon Valley is apparently a method known as Intermittent Fasting.

I’ve written about this before, but I hadn’t realized before that it had such a large and devoted following in this sector of society.

Intermittent Fasting basically means that you eat pretty well much what you want, but have intermittent periods where you abstain from all food for anywhere from 16 hours to several days. Sounds a bit hard to me, but apparently it’s highly effective.

It also seems that it has other benefits that go beyond simple weight loss.

Cardio Or Weights – Which Is best For You?

I wish that I could honestly say that I enjoy exercise. I know that a lot of you out there are gym junkies, and just can’t wait to get the muscles working and the heart pumping. Sadly though I’m not one of them. The best I can say about exercise is that I endure it.

One thing I’ve always been confused by is what type of exercise is going to be best for me? IE – Cardio or weights basically. So to clear up the confusion, this article lays out the relative merits of each.

The “Flexitarian Diet” – No, I Haven’t Heard Of It Either!

This one is totally new to me, although it’s apparently been around for more than a decade.

The Flexitarian Diet seems to me to be somewhat complex to implement – at first look anyway. It consists apparently of basing one’s food intake around five vegetarian groups such as the ‘new’ meats (e.g. tofu) and legumes along with vegetables and fruits, whole grains, spices, dairy and sugar (yes, sugar!).

However, meat is not totally excluded (hence the flexitarian label). It comes highly recommended by the medical profession apparently.
